I was looking through Facebook and I came across  hillbilly ingenuity. I shouldn't poke too much fun because it's actually a really good idea that I've heard has great results if done correctly. This contraption is an antler shed trap. (For more information on shed hunting click here)  The setup is simple:
  •  Take a piece of plastic fence like shown in the picture (or chicken wire)
  • Then place three fence posts vertically in an L shape about 3-4 feet apart from each other (for best results, the stakes should be placed in an area where the deer are forced to come head first into the corner)
  •  After the stakes are set, secure the fence or chicken wire to each post.
  • Once construction is completed, the last step is to put some corn or bait of your choice in the corner of the L.
The idea is that the buck will come into your L shaped fence and stick his nose down in the corner to eat some of the bait. When the buck lifts his head up from eating the loose antlers will get caught on the fence and be left behind for you to collect. Happy shed hunting!

And remember! "A bad day of hunting always beats a good day of working"
